By altering the rotational speed of the mandrel, PEUU elas-tomeric scaffolds can be developed with varying degrees of alignment. High RPM specimens exhibit mechanical properties that closely resemble those of the native pulmonary valve, signifying a potential use in soft tissue engineering applications. Moreover, use of the structural model will allow for the determination of elec-trospun conditions to tailor PEUU scaffolds for specific soft tissue applications.
