The article presents the comparing experiments of anti-wear cutting performances between C_3N_4 ultrahard coated cutting tool and other cutting tools. The data and curves of cutting experiments show that the C_3N_4 coated cutting tool has obvious improvement in tool life than uncoated and TiN coated cutting tools and is anticipated to reach or surpass the hardness of artificial diamond.
