In recent years space market is becoming more and more global. This is particularly true for DC-DC converter because "space qualified" of the shelf components are entering not only the commercial market but also the national program controlled by space administration. To face international market, low mass, low cost and short lead time converter shall be manufactured by European Company while maintaining high reliability ( ESA derating requirements) and robust performances against harsh space environment. This paper provides an innovative approach for the design of low power, multi-output hybrid DC-DC converter. High flexibility, both electrical and mechanical, and hybrid implementation leads to a substantial reduction of Recurrent and Not-recurrent costs. A complete experimental characterisation of a "standard" multi-outputs converter based on the above approach is also presented.
