THE APPLICATION OF JET GROUTING IN SOFT-SOIL FOUNDATION PIT PROJECT

摘要

Application of jet grouting in Shanghai can be dated back to late 1970s. It has been widely accepted since 1980s when Shanghai subway lines were being built. Up to now jet grouting has been successfully used in the constructions of two subway lines and related basic structures. A lot of experience has been accumulated through engineering practice. Jet grouting can increase the resistance of the passive zone of enclosing structures so as to effectively reduce the deformations caused by excavation, and can also stabilize the pit base in presence of artesian water. Jet grouting can also be used in cut-off wall of foundation pit and entrance in shield working well.
