A numericla model is presented, which aims to simulate void formation close to the inclusion in the matrix during plastic deformaiton.Debonding at the interface between the inclusion and the matrix is assumed to occur if the thensile normal stress reaches a critical value.VOid propagation is driven by the tnedency of separating th matrix form the inclusion. The difference in yield between the matrix and the inclusion is one ocmmon reason for void initiation and rpopagation.A rigid-plastic finite element code has been developed for analyzing beahvior of a matrix containing an inclusion under plane strain condition. The Finite element simulations regarding void formatin show good agreement with existing experiemntal results.
