Simulation of Distributed Process Control Based on Fieldbus Systems

In this paper new tools are presented for the simulation of distribuled process control systems, in which the control loop is closed by fieldbus systems. Software tools for the fieldbus systems CAN-bus, Profibus-DP and Interbus-S were developed. In the paper the implementation of the ProfibusDP fieldbus toolbox is described. The application of the toolbox is demonstrated by the example inverted pendulum. The obtained results are discussed.
