Simulation environments for industrial process control

摘要

In the present work the main features of different simulation tools for process control applications are discussed. In particular, the modelling capabilities, the model libraries completeness and the simulation performance are considered, so as to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of the studied environments as concerns their use for training, engineering and system verification and testing purposes.
