摘要

We have investigated the transmission of light through two-dimensional (2D) photonic-crystal (PC)-based defect-waveguides (DWGs) with two 60°bends. The waveguides consist of one missing row of air-holes inside a triangular PC block fabricated on an AlGaAs air-membrane waveguide structure. Fine tuning of the bend design results in a considerable improvement of transmission efficiency at the bend.
