Demolishing a High Tower Building by Controlled Blasting

摘要

16~# tower building in Dongzhimen which has 22 floors and takes on Y configuration is all made of reinforcement concrete. It belongs to shear wall structure. 16~# building is demolished successfully by controlled blasting on September 16, 2001. It is the highest building demolition by controlled blasting in China. The design feature and technology of blasting of this project will be introduced briefly in this article.
