PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gondola and method for demolishing a tower-like structure which can easily cope with a shape of the tower-like structure and enable safe demolishing work.;SOLUTION: A truncated cone-shaped smokestack 100 is demolished by: a gondola installing process (step s3) where a smokestack-demolishing gondola 1 equipped with a work corridor 30 having a ring shape in a plane view for cutting the smokestack 100 and a locking frame 10 locked from the top 103 of the smokestack 100 to hang and support the work corridor 30 is hung by a crawler crane 300 and installed on the outer periphery of the smokestack 100 in the vicinity of a cutting line 110; a sling replacement process (step s7) for replacing a sling wire 310 to the smokestack 100 above the cutting line 110; a cutting process (step s9) for cutting the smokestack 100 along the cutting line 110; and a hanging and lowering process (step s12) for hanging the cut smokestack 120 together with the gondola 1 and lowering it to the ground by the crawler crane 300.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
