A Proposal for using Value Engineering Technique in a Power Plant to Minimize Maintenance cost

Recently, V.E. technique has been developed as anrneffective method in power system planning. Actually,rnthis method is one of the usual ways for maximizingrn“benefit-to-cost” ratio of systems. In power plants,rnimportance and complexity of maintenancebenefit/rncost-analysis leads us to apply a systematicrnmethod –such as VE- for maximizing the “benefit-tocost”rnin each section of power plant. In this paper, it isrnintended to emphasize that V.E. technique is a proper,rnapplicable, and efficient way for decreasingrnmaintenance cost and increasing performance ofrnpower plants.
