Mixing Materials Process during FSW of 5754 Al Alloy

摘要

This paper presents results of researches carried out in study of the Friction Stir Welding (FSW), focused on the deformation and material mixing during welding of a 5754 Al alloy. A 3D model was developed for heat generated during the FSW process as well as for the material flow. This solid state welding process is in the center of the attention of researchers because it is very simple and completely environment friendly.
