Molecular Detection of HIV

摘要

In the efforts for the standardization of nucleic acid/DNA probe quantification,WHO has started the institution of International Units (IU) for several common viral diagnostics.Including HIV and HCV.The approach is similar to the quantification of antibiotics and monoclonal antibodies,which are originated from the idea of the international primary standards of the metric system.
