Artificial Weathering of Coatings Including Blue Stain Infection Under Laboratory Conditions

For evaluation of the durability of coatings artificial weathering with defined parameters is commonly used as an accelerated ageing procedure instead of exterior weathering. But the biological influence on the development of defects in coatings have not been considered in artificial weathering up to now. This paper describes laboratory trials including blue stain infection in the artificial weathering procedure. The possible relevance to practice is discussed.
