Surface Solar Energy and Meteorological Data Available For Renewable Energy Use

The Surface Solar Energy (SSE) data set is a collabo-rative effort to extend the economic and social benefit of NASA-ESE's (Earth Science Enterprise) atmos-pheric science programs by encouraging the use of atmospheric science data to influence policies and practices within selected industries and non-profit organizations. Global sets of satellite-derived surface energy data are provided in industry-relevant formats using the World Wide Web for non-traditional technology transfer. Partnerships have been developed with other government agencies and with the user community to develop the product, encourage its use, and evalaute user feedback.
