ROTATION OF THE VECTOR VELOCITY FIELD IN A SYMMETRIC SUNSPOT

摘要

Vector velocity fields of some sunspots demonstrate anomalous effects. We describe briefly the method of vector velocity field computation from the measured Doppler velocities. We bring some examples of such anomalous velocity effects observed in the lines FeI-5253.47 and MgI-5172.7A. The spatial structure of the observed phenomenon resembles a whirlpool effect.
