In the present work we simulate, numerically, flume experiments conducted at the U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station, at Vicksburg, MS. the flume, shown in figure 1, is 23.23 m long and 0.45 m wide; the undisturbed water depth at the flat portions of the flume is 0.218 m and at its left hand side there is a piston type wave-maker. Ten wave gages are placed along the canal, in our computations we take readings of gages 5,6,7,9 and 10; gages 5,7 and 9 are respectively placed at the exact beginning of each of the three slopes; gages 6 and 10 are placed respectively at the middle of the first and last slpe. We also take readings of the runup at the wall.
