The correlation of parameters of acid- and drought resistance of oats plants was studied. The new method of a graphic evaluation of a modification of work of a genetic system of plants adaptivity was utilized. On the basis of field and laboratory researches it was established, that the drought-resistant oats varieties not always have heightened acid resistance Despite the fact that high soil acidity is considered the main edaphic factor limiting productivity of agricultural crops under condition of North-east of European Russia, other not less relevant factor is the soil drought (1). Agricultural plants were more resistant to soil acidity in a cool wet climate, than in warm and dry one. A drought and toxicity of aluminum can be linked among themselves, as many subsoil have a large saturation by aluminum, which reduces root growth and diminishes availability of subsoil moisture to them (11). More over these two stresses often present simultaneously. Therefore detection of correlation between acid- and drought resistance of plants has not only theoretical, but also high practical importance. In the scientific literature there is a contradiction judgement on the given problem. (10) marked a considerable reduction of vegetative growth of aluminum-sensitive barley variety 'Kearney' at the presence of a moisture stress and moderate aluminum stress, while aluminum-resistant variety 'Dayton' suffered from a soil drought much less. (5) made a hypothesis, that the resistance to aluminum can exert influence on a degree of a drought-resistance for some varieties of soybean, because high level of aluminum resistance allows plants more to use subsoil moisture more completely. Despite the fact that the water status of the tested varieties did not differ under solely droughts stress, at simultaneous availability of both stresses the considerable genotypic differences were pointed out. The authors tendered to conduct laboratory and greenhouse selections on aluminum tolerance when breeding drought-resistant soybean varieties.
