The analysis and generalization of the progress of the standardized and widely used in the world color appearance model CIECAM02 and based on it uniform color space CAM02-UCS, underlying the assessment of color rendition fidelity in television and related video applications. Suggestions are made for the configuration of the new CAMXX model, in which the modification of the CIECAM02 model is implemented and which can be considered the most suitable for color management and color rendition evaluation in television and related video applications. The examples of estimations change the uniform color space metric, including the position of chromaticity diagram color points and the boundaries of color gamut transmitted by television systems when moving to the modified uniform color space CAMXX-UCS. The influence of color objects angular size on the metric of color space used to estimate color rendition and transmitted color gamut is estimated. The presented results of the analysis and quantitative estimates can form the basis for a new stage of modification of the Report ITU-R BT.2380 “Television colorimetry elements”, developed by WP 6C and ITU-R SG 6 by initiative and with the active participation of authors on the basis of Ukraine's contributions based on their results of studies.
