Integration of Ergonomics and Safety into TQM Systems

摘要

It has been suggested that occupational safety and health, ergonomics and environmental safety should be integrated into total quality management (TQM) systems. Integration of safety and health aspects into TQM systems has proved to be effective and productive. Synergies have been recognized when an integrated TQM system is implemented. A model of TQM system for small and medium-size enterprises has been developed. Methods to be used in development of an integrated TQM system have been proposed and a training model has been tested to support the SME's to implement the TQM system.
