摘要

Serious frost damage inside concrete has been reduced since the proper use of air-entraining agents began. Instead, gradual deterioration, from the concrete surfaces, has become prevalent. This indicates that the depth of frost damage should be accurately measured to evaluate the durability of concrete structures. In this study, based on the assumption that the ultrasonic wave method was effective in measuring frost damage depth, various factors that affected the ultrasonic wave velocity, such as uneven concrete surface, surface layer deterioration and internal deterioration were examined. Frost damage depth in actual structures was then measured. As a result, the effectiveness of this method was clarified.
