Preliminary experiment is conducted to show more realistically the feature of the bladepassing force which is the source of the blade passing noise from Entecho’s VTOL aircraft. Thepressure rise at blade passing has an impulse-like envelop (due to blade passing) with oscillationswhich may be due to the unsteady vortex flow from the upper-stream blade.The magnitude of blade passing force involved in the rotating rotor and stator interaction issignificantly higher (5 times) than that in the stationary rotor and stator interaction.Without flow field, relative motion between the blades does not generate much bladepassing force.
