A comparison of green and conventional diesel bus noise levels

摘要

The growing use of green buses has been fueled by the need for reducing noise emissions as wellas airborne particulates. Hybrid diesel-electric, electric trolleybus and compressed natural gas(CNG) buses are all promoted to have lower noise levels than conventional diesel buses. Thispaper provides a general comparison of the noise levels from these vehicle types under idling,acceleration and constant-speed pass by operations.
