In this paper, a discrete-time version of a robust controller,nbased on the standard Riccati equation approach, is proposed for powernsystem load-frequency control with system parametric uncertainties. Thenvariation bounds of the system parameters are obtained by changingnparameters by 30% to 50% simultaneously from their typical values. Thencontroller design procedure is given. The proposed discrete-time robustncontroller can ensure that the overall mixed system is asymptoticallynstable for all admissible uncertainties and can achieve satisfactorynperformance even in the presence of the generation-rate constraint
