This paper presents design of X-band cylindrical conformal substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) slot array antenna. The wave propagation on cylinders is investigated to verify fundamental propagation mode and Method of Least Square (MLS) is used to synthesize the proposed array. To avoid spurious radiations, rectangular waveguide (RWG) to SIW feeding structure is utilized to feed the proposed array. A flexible substrate is used to 1×6 slot elements array. From simulation results, side lobe level (SLL) of -21.72 dB and gain of 9.8 dB has been achieved with VSWR ≤2 at center frequency of 10 GHz.
