Abstract: We report the new method of highly efficienttransformation of linear polarized laser beam intoanother beam, with any required polarization performedby reflection grating. The parameters of this gratingwere calculated theoretically. The grating converterswith a reflectivity of R $GREQ 96% for transformationof linearly polarized CO$-2$/ laser beam into acircular polarized beam have been fabricated. Theefficiency of these converters included in a 1.5 kWCO$-2$/ laser technological system for metal cutting isdemonstrated. !20
