摘要

Many composite materials and rocks in mining and geo-engineering are transverse isotropic bodies. As one of indirect formulations of boundary element method, the discontinuity displacement method is suitable for mining and geo-engineering problems involving discontinuities such as faults, joints, cracks. It can be proved that normal and shear discontinuity displacements is equivalent to corresponding quadruple-force system. Using Fourier transformation, the authors obtain normal and shear discontinuity displacements with arbitrary angle between principal directions. A program is worked out on basis of fundamental solutions. Its validity is verified by a numerical solution which is in good coincidence with the analytic solution. Some calculation examples are also given in this paper.
