STRUCTURAL MONITORING IN SPAIN APPLICATION TO GOTHIC CATHEDRALS

The paper describes the monitoring programs envisaged for the structural assessment of Girona, Tarazona and Mallorca Cathedrals in Spain. Given their very different structural peculiarities and also their different state of conservation , specific monitoring programs, both in terms of concept and technology, are considered for each case. The paper also addresses some complementary aspects related to the use of non-destructive tests.
