This presentation will describe the practice of Asa Parson Textile Studio and outline the importance of trial and error in the craftmaking process.There will be an emphasis on how knowledge and design is extracted from the process of making by hand to be used and developed to produce industrial fabrics.Asa will talk about traveling and the importance for her practice of working with and studying materials and techniques from different cultures.
