AN INVESTIGATION OF SKY LUMINANCE AND ILLUMINANCE ON THE EARTH′S SURFACE USING SENSORS PLACED ON A DOME

摘要

Modern research on sky luminance is performed with sky scanners, which use only one sensor to scan thernsky. Illuminance measurements are usually performed for horizontal and at most vertical surfaces. In thernpresent work results are presented concerning the modelling of zenith luminance, the sky luminancerndistribution, and illuminance on surfaces of different slopes and orientations. All the experimental data forrnthe sky luminance and the illuminance on different surfaces are obtained from sensors positioned on a dome.rnIt is concluded that the experimental system used in the present work is a valuable device for this kind ofrnresearch.
