摘要

This paper escribes progress in the development of a landslide susceptibility model which is based on slope stability equations. Using a test area in the Venezuelan Andes, we show how model inputs can be derived fro msuitably pre-processed Landsat TM data and maps of the area. Pre-processign steps include geometric and terrain corrections. A combination of unsupervised and supervised classification algorithms is applied to the corrected TM data to derive a land cover map. The papepr concludes with a summary of future research activity.
