This paper presents some advanced algorithms that arise in the analysis and synthesis of problems in science and engineering. The principal objective of the paper is to describe some algorithmic skeletons for coupled fields in the context of the finite differences and element methods, with emphasis on the problems from science and electrical engineering. We present direct problems for a large class of physical systems.rnWe consider the thermal field in electromagnetic devices and living tissues. The thermal field is described by the heat conduction equation and bioheat equation. The influence of different parameters on the temperature distribution is discussed.
