摘要

In this study, the vibration analysis of a rotating tapered cantilever Bernoulli - Euler beam with a rectangular cross-section varying linearly in two planes are performed. A new and efficient mathematical method, called the Differential Transform Method (DTM), is used to find the natural frequencies of the tapered beam. Effects of the taper ratio, the rotational speed parameter and the hub radius parameter are investigated and tabulated in tables and figures. The accuracy is assured from the convergence of the natural frequencies and from the comparisons made with the studies in the open literature.
