We have demonstrated amplitude squeezing of the fundamental field at 1.55 μm in single-pass second-harmonic generation using a 30-mm-long single-mode waveguide fabricated in periodically-poled lithium niobate. Squeezing of 0.7 ± 0.1 dB was observed with less than 1 mW of average input fundamental power.
