A virtual system for rapid prototyping

摘要

The paepr describes the development of a virtual system for rapid protottyping. The virtual system is aimed to integrate product design and RP process, with simulation and realistic visualisation. It allows the Rp control parameters to be turned to the desired requirements by simulation without using physical prototypes. Mathematical models that describe the Rp process may be developed an incorporated for the simulation. A preliminary implementation of the system is discussed in detail. It simulated the layer building process of a part to estimate suface accuracy.
