Electroforming mold based on sla rapid prototypes

摘要

The stereolithography rapid prototypes was used in electroforming mold in this paper. This is a new method for fabricating plastic space shuttle model by the RP + RT technology. On the basic of the task of design and construction ofthe mold for the United Compared MOdel(UCM) of the space shuttle, it is described that the mold could be manufactured by the method of combining SLA and electroforming together and some problemcould also be discussed and analyzed. THis RP + RT technology of the mold fabrication could be explored a new way for similar mold design and production in future.
