摘要

Melted Extrusion Manufacturing(MeM) is a process for making three-dimensional objects layer by layer from thermoplastic materials directly form cad files. The paper first introduces the foundations of the first mem system in china. The major factors which cause error in the tranistion of cad models to mem prototypes, including data procssing. Mechanical nad Nc system, material, process planning and controlling, are analyzed. Some recent improvements of the process are discussed in detail. The analysis will be a guide to improve the mem process and the forming accuracy.
