Conventional creep experiments and newly developed recovery experiments have been used to study the physical aging of a 3300 molecular weight polystyrene, T_g = 68.7 deg C. Viscosity as a function of aging time was measured, allowing the evolution of J_s to be determined. The advantage of the recovery experiments is that they provide both the short time recovery information and the long time viscous flow data, allowing a more complete picture of how the material behaves during aging.
