摘要

Colognes, body mists, shower gels and lotions are a few cosmetic preparations that contain fragrance components as ingredients. The rate at which individual components within a cosmetic preparation evaporate is crucial to determining the overall rate of evaporation of the cosmetic formulation. It has been shown that the rate of evaporation for such purposes may be determined from data that is obtained from a simultaneous TG-DTA unit (1). This consideration is of importance for cosmetic preparations whose function relies heavily on the effectiveness of their ability to impart pleasant odors.
