Development and Mass Production of X60 High Deformable Line Pipe Suitable for Strain-based Design

The application of high-strength line pipe is beneficial for the reductionrnof the cost of gas transmission pipelines by enabling high-pressurernoperation. Long-distance gas transmission pipelines from remote areasrnsometimes pass through discontinuous permafrost, seismic- andrnlandslide-prone areas, and are subject to ground movement by repeatedrnthaw subsidence and frost heave. In this case, line pipe with highrndeformability is required for strain-based design. This paper describesrnthe development and mass production of high deformable API-gradernX60 line pipe with heavy wall thickness, which is suitable for such arnstrain-based design and low temperature usage.
