Open channels of the Huanghua harbor and Dongying harbor in BohairnSea were founded at silty coast areas. During storm periods, drasticrnsand siltation often happened to open channels without protectionrnmeasures, and the sediment is dense silty sand resulting in that channelrndredging work is hard to be performed. This paper summarizes therndynamic strength attenuation characteristics of silty soil under cyclicrnloadings through dynamic triaxial tests; critical cyclic stress ratio existsrnand soil strength would be weakened when the cyclic stress ratio isrnbigger than the critical value. Moving characteristics of the liquefiedrnsoil under waves are carried out through the flume experiments inrnlaboratory; As a result, the influence of engineering geologyrncharacteristics of silty soil should be taken in account when researchingrnon the problems of sediment movement of silty coast areas.
