The behaviour of single and twin tunnels interacting with surrounding alluvial soilsrnhas been investigated. Four different real sites have been selected with realrngeotechnical and seismic down hole test results, in order to model the real conditionrnof the surrounding soils. The results show the significant effect of shear wavernvelocity and tunnel depth on the lining moment, axial forces and settlements. Also, itrnhas been concluded that the values of the lining forces and moments of the twinrntunnel, have been strongly dependent on the tunnel’s distance and also the type ofrnloading (static or dynamic), where the trend in their variation is also dependent onrnthe soil properties considerably.
