The effects of cycle on crack growth, fracture feature and rupture life of superalloy GH2132 have been shudied in the present paper. The crack growth tests were carried out at 550 degree on compact tension specimens under a wide rangeof load levels and various periods of hold time, and the fracture surfaces wre examined on a scanning electron microscope. The results shoe that stagel of crack growth is related with initial test stress and so can not represent crack growth behavior of the alloy, during whcih the crack extensio is about 0.5mm, and that the effects of cycle on crack growth and fracture feature are reverseed at the point delta sub n=delta sub 0.2 and the final effect of cycle on rupture life depends on the counteraction of these two reversed roles.
