摘要

The cutting process of wood and composite wooden base materials is complicated due to their properties. Contrary to metallic materials which can be considered as homogenous ones from the view point of force acting directions the wood embodies diverse properties in different directions. This is one of the matters which can influence a tool wear processes. The wood structure and texture acts to particular factors of cutting process as well. Moisture is one of factors which can influence the process as well as structural and chemical composition of material. Both natural wood and composite wooden base materials have one significant property - heat conductivity that has a major influence onto the wear of cutting tools. Research has been conducted on the influence of different factors on a tool wear during cutting process of a wood.
