Mass transport in the thermocline in a reservoir by a wave maker

In this paper, it is shown that the current induced by internal waves can be used to thin a layer of thermocline in reservoirs. It is also shown that the frequency of the wave maker (source and sink flow) must be matched to the flow to induce the current, and teh flowfield is clarified by numerical simulation.
