Block copolymers can self-assemble into various micellar aggregates,including spherical and wormlike micelles,vesicles,and other complex structures in selective solvents.Upon incorporation with functional inorganic nanoparticles (NPs),these micellar assemblies can be used in more broad fields,including bioimaging,targeting,diagnosis,drug and gene delivery,and controlled release.Several strategies have been established to prepare spherical block copolymer micelles incorporated with inorganic NPs.Nowadays,it still remains a challenge to prepare elongated wormlike micelles encapsulated with functional NPs.
