MIPAS TEMPERATURE VALIDATION BY THE MASI GROUP

At the 2nd Workshop of the Atmospheric ChemistryrnValidation of Envisat (ACVE-2), re-processedrntemperature data from MIPAS (V 4.61) were evaluatedrnusing data assimilation models and independent satelliterndata. This paper presents results of the validationrnactivities of the following groups: (i) the EuropeanrnCentre for Medium-range Weather Forecasts; (ii) thernData Assimilation Research Centre UK; (iii) ThernInstitut für Meteorologie und Klimaforschung at thernUniversität Karlsruhe; and (iv) Service d’Aeronomie,rnCNRS, France, who are all members of the Modellingrnand Assimilation and Satellite Intercomparison (MASI)rnvalidation subgroup of the Atmospheric ChemistryrnValidation Team (ACVT) for Envisat.
