In this paper, the features and performances of arnrevised version of a learning-support system used inrndevelopmental-study-related fieldwork are described. Wernpreviously developed a multimedia data-management andrnsharing system to support users conducting fieldwork inrndeveloping countries. However, the functions andrninterfaces of the previous tool were quite statistic in termsrnof field data access, making it difficult for users to learnrnproperly in the field. As a revised version of the proposedrnsystem, we have implemented a method for dynamicallyrninter-connecting all field data with temporal and spatialrninformation, called the simultaneous data access method.rnTo examine the performance of this revised system,rntwo student experiments were conducted. The first is torndetermine the behaviours of the students when using thernproposed system, for which the author observed some ofrnthe behaviours that are effective for learning while in thernfield. The second is to examine whether there is arnsignificance difference between the students who used thernrevised system and those who did not when reporting theirrnfield data. In addition, the significant differences in thernquantitative analysis of these reports were confirmed.
