The application of 3S technology in the emergent conservation of culture heritage after 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake in China

摘要

The Wenchuan Ms 8.0 earthquake disaster areas are the high density historical culture heritage regions in China. In the disaster most culture heritages were severely damaged. How to make these heritages restored as soon as possible has become an urgent task. This paper introduced the application of 3S technology in the emergent conservation of historical culture heritages after the earthquake. The method and procedure of establishing post-disaster culture heritage emergent conservation comprehensive database and post-disaster Culture Heritage Emergent Conservation Integrated Information Platform were discussed. The research and practice proved 3S technique have significant effect and contribution on the emergent conservation and emergency management for culture heritage after the nature disaster.
