Study on the Frank Elastic Constants of Nematic LC Mixtures

摘要

Two kinds of simulation techniques for the Frank elastic constant of liquid crystal (LC) materials are described in this paper. One is an empirical method based on experimental data and the other is an atomistic molecular dynamics (MD) method. By the MD simulation the elastic constant can be predicted within the error about 30 percents.
